Negatory? He was correct, that's how I started Boethia's quest. You can start it in several ways. The way you wrote is just one of them.

Yeah, negatory. You can start it in several ways, but doing nothing out in the woods just to start it is a pretty terrible idea. Neat if it just happens, but that should not be the way someone goes LOOKING for it.

That is if you already know where the Shrine is. I was just telling her how to start the quest in a regular first time fashion.

See the above. Just happening upon him is neat when you're not expecting it, but there's no reason at all to just sit there hoping to run into this bloke when you can skip straight to it, and save yourself time.

Ikr? What a [censored] [censored].

Don't have get your panties in a bunch. God forbid I offer up a different, easier, and faster, way to do it, right? Please, get more angry about my choice of word.

That's how I got it. I'm not sure about what level you need to be (but seeing as how you're 40+, you shouldn't have a problem), but I didn't even think there was another way to start any of the Daedric quests (Azura excluded) other than finding their shrines.

It's actually a pretty neat little story. Though, if you do happen across this chap while you're just out and about, that'd go faster. If you do it my way (going to the shrine) you need to go track him down after.

No you don't, the Cultist of Boethia and the Champion of Boethia are two different NPC's. Stop spreading misinformation. The Cultist of Boethia is the one who approaches you and attacks you in the wilderness and who carries the book to start the quest. The Champion of Boethia is the one you have to kill to loot the Ebony Mail at the end of the quest.

Please, attack me more for getting two people with similar names mixed up. I don't understand why the two of you are getting so angry, really. Explain it to me.

I'm not attacking you, and I'm certainly not angry, I'm just correcting you on the falsities you are posting so that readers don't take you on face value and get confused.

Lol, telling me to "stop spreading misinformation" certainly sounds pretty hostile to me. It assumes that I'm doing it on purpose, rather than getting mixed up. You might see it differently, but I think there's a certain tone of anger in the sentence.

It just means to stop spreading false information, especially in a thread where someone is obviously not familiar with the subject matter, if you assumed there was any anger or aggression implied in the sentence then apologize, there was none on my part.

Also do I kill my follower companion guy ? xP

Its wise to bring a follower you don't like or want because you will have to sac them. So don't bring someone you want to keep around!
