I never really got to play Morrowind.
Too young back then too enjoy such a game, too outdated now I guess. Might get it off Steam though.
So don't really know about this "Eruption."

The eruption happened in the fourth era, which is the era Skyrim takes place in. Morrowind took place in the third era.

The Dunmer in Windhelm and other locations talk about the eruption plenty. It's why they left Morrowind and went to Skyrim.

Might've had some info in the books I guess... Never really read them. I just hate the fonts.

You can read all the in-game books on this site. Without that font. Some NPCs will make mention of some events, as well.
