DLC is really vanilla content!

I think the lack of fletching in the base game is an obvious oversight, similar to the lack of dragonbone weapons. Not necessarily needed, but they should have been included. Before Dawnguard, using console commands was the only possible way to get Nord Hero Arrows, since stores don't sell them and you couldn't make them. Personally, I feel including these things in the DLC vs in patches seems a little cheeky, considering I do feel they should have been in the base game, but I can't hold it against Bethesda that much.
You still can't get nord hero arrows.

Really? Damn, I'd have thought that would have been addressed by now.

Were those arrows even intended for the player though? You know like falmer/ancient nord arrows are faction items. Can you craft either of those?

No, but you can craft Nord Hero Weapons and Armor, which I think is the distinguishing factor.

Yeah I know about the armor and weapons, had a looksee at the armor varients when deciding my first characters look. I think though that the arrows were not really intended for the player as such, more likely for specific enemies and they simply were never implemented (for whatever reason).

I'm glad it wasn't part of it. Some elements of DG nark me off so much that I wouldn't of put nearly as many hours into Skyrim if they were included in the base game.

It was one of the first things I did, go to the skyfoge and try to craft them. I had a feeling they wouldn't be added, but I really hoped they had. It would really help complete the ancient nord/ nord hero armour and weapons set. More reason for me to get a PC I guess.
