music selection

Whenever I play a game multiplayer style where there's no story to miss I always stick my Ipod onto Bad Religion, Descendants, NOFX, Leeway, Dead Kens, Black Flag, Propaghandi, or the Bronx or something like that. Makes it more fun for me :mohawk:
Punk effteedoubleyou.

Yay Propaghandi, known them since before John left to form Weakerthans, a truely GREAT Canadian band

Its not Frank though, would be cool if it was.

*Here's a revive syringe!*

I just rewatched the http://www.gametrailers.com/video/a-matter-brink/711734 Trailer and wondered, if actual music from the games soundtrack was used for this. What are your thoughts?

When music is used appropriately such as when the match starts you hear music and that pumps you up for the upcoming fight. Objectives that are running out of time so the music starts to signal to players "Hey, hurry up." Winning music and losing match music and so on.

Most multiplayer FPSes are silent except Round Start/End fanfares and subtle ambience, like beeping computer panels or creaking wood. Music would make or break the mood, but when you're playing against actual people, you need your head clear and your ears focuesd on tell-tale signs of enemy activity.

I like a music. It gives the game more of an epic feel, makes it more exciting. But outside music complete eliminates my ability to listen to enemy footsteps.

When I'm in single player I put my headset around my neck and listen to my music, not the games. In multiplayer, I just don't care about music at all because i'm listening for footsteps, gunfire, and any other indication of where an enemy may be........

i personally like music in-game and it drastically effects my gameplay if i'm playin Oblivion i like mellow acoustics and for FPS i like Hard Rock helps make me more alert thought it makes it tough to listen for movement maybe music in certain times of gameplay like if your firing your gun for so long and are taking fire play a little rock and if your quiet and not in combat no music at all?

A really fun thing was the Crysis 2 map with the landing pad. it had a party room that had a radio playing some tunes. i would sit in there with my friend and T-Bag dance with shotguns out.
