Then I realized with Brink that it HAS to support the character offline... I know that with my connection, that's where I'll spend most of my time. This means the character has to be saved to the HDD (or whatever)... in that case, there's nothing to stop people uploading their data online for others to save and use, with everything unlocked. Some games lock their save files so they can't be copied, I assume to prevent this from happening. Here is where MY worries come in.
Does anybody know how characters will be stored? Because if they're saved to the HDD and the files are locked, I will be pissed... I had 5 RSOD's in a year a couple years back, and my PS3 has frozen across 3 games in the past month or two. I don't really trust my PS3 to hold out for my entire time with Brink, and I really don't want my progress to be lost because SD or Sony locked the files and I couldn't back them up... even if I can understand why they would do it.
