Dream game is out for me but can't decide. Morrowind & Oblivion, PC though. What else do I need?

An open RPG game that takes place in a large cyberpunk metropolis. Something of a mix between Deus Ex/Blade Runner and Fallout 3, filled with all sorts of shady corporatons and other "guilds" with politics between them, that one can freelance for or join and so on.

thats my dream game as well. tons of fantasy swords and magic games but not many if any open world cyberpunk games. i would kill for a TES like game in the shadowrun (sega genesis version) universe. :) fallout 3 is to goofy to be cyberpunk and although i enjoyed it it doesnt compare to the stalker games for post apocalyptic settings. and yes i know that the world hasnt ended in the stalker games but the settings is much more intimidating than the fallout universe which is essentially a parody game like borderlands.

Battletech Sandbox RPG.

Sweet. I would also like the same with the choice of turn based combat with some sort of Fallout 3 V.A.T.S style targeting system with plenty of visual metal carnage and burning melting metal.

combine Mechwarrior 2/3 sim mechanics+mech melee & mechlab with a Fallout 3/NV-ish onfoot (for when you're not in a mech) & modding capabilities & that would be the ultimate dream game for me.

An open world RPG version of the "Oryx and Crake"/"Year of the Flood" books. Biochemical weapons have wiped out the majority of the population, and there are spliced beasties around to hunt or tame. The cities have been reclaimed by nature, which has been radically changed by global warming (so the US is jungle-like with midday tropical storms and intense heat). You can join factions such as God's Gardeners, MadAdam or the Painballers and others - plus there's a new genetically modified race which trusts you completely and you can mould them in any way you wish (keep them innocent and pacifist, make them political manipulators, create a new religion around yourself, or train them to fight). Weapons could include biochemical weapons, plasma guns (IIRC that's what they're called in the books, might be rayguns) or more "primitive" things like spears.

I'd really like to see Stephen Chow get involved in video gamse. Kung Fu Hustle is such a ridiculously awesome movie. If they could only make a video as fun to play as it is to watch, awesome story, crazy action.. on man..

Not sure what kind of Developers should hook up with him though.

I want a gigantic, procedurally generated world like Minecraft, but with the graphical prowess of The Elder Scrolls IV, or V. I want the ability to build anything in the vein of Garry's Mod, but with a nod to realism, so I have to find resources and craft to build what I want. I want gigantic, procedurally generated cities and towns, with procedurally generated NPCs that offer procedurally generated quests through procedurally generated dungeons and such. I want the procedural generation to be constantly updated with new procedures to keep things fresh.

I want the whole game to have multiplayer capabilities, either massive, or not. But I still want the game to play well alone.

It would play from a first person perspective.

The game would have a point. Some gigantic, over arching, yet non intrusive narrative to give you a goal to work for. But this goal would be immensely difficult to obtain. It would be like Nethack, where nobody every retrieves the amulet of Yendor and returns to the surface. But you've heard of some people of legend who might have done it. Of course it could all be a fish story.

Every element of the game would be fully customizable from within the game. And some kind of content sharing system would be in place to allow people to share their creations.

Many, many game modes would be included in addition to the open world, sandboxy kind of thing. Things like CTF, or building competitions, or fortress defense with home-made siege engines.

And my computer would dispense a Monte Cristo sandwich whenever I wanted one. And it would have an magic, unlimited beer tap on the side.

A multiplayer FPS game set in WW1. Each team starts in their own trenches, and when the round starts the attacking team gets on the move while the defenders have to wait until the attackers reach the second quarter of no man's land (they can make their own counterattacks, though). The no man's land is full of craters, mud (50% movement penalty), barbed wire (limb damage when touched) and artillery fire.

I have low goals :)

A turn based RPG with a large portion of the game being story line. Japanese style animation graphics. Fantasy based with explanations for everything (for instance how the magic works). A friendly has to die at the end. Perhaps some sort of love feud followed by a wedding which then falls apart shortly before they are married. Summoning, magic, swords, staffs, claws and harpoons. The weapons must be customisable in some way as well as having a game inside a game (possibly a version of underwater rugby which continues throughout the gam).

I like this kind of game.

An open world Dead Space. I'm obsessed with the series, and it would just be plain ol' neat to walk around some space station/planet before and after an outbreak, with various people having things to do for you.

A zombie apocalypse rpg in the vein of Fallout: New Vegas. Inventory/weight management, item degradation, ammo shortages, the need to eat drink and sleep, those sort of things. There would be different factions you could join too. You could help the US government regain control of the nation, assist in a revolution and install a new government, join a group of doctor-priests who help people and only kill when neccesary, or a crew of raiders who prey on survivors. Would be awesome in my book.

That would be the game of my dreams.
I would play only that game for rest of my life.

This. With heavy RPG mechanics and a big emphasis on writing and storytelling (and maybe not set in one single city, but in several distinctly different locations - a worldmap travel and hubs inside the city and even a bit outside it, like an expanded mix of VtMB and Deus Ex).

Other than that:
Van Buren (the original Fallout 3).
and
Sequels to Arcanum and VtMB.

As I say every time this thread type comes up:

gamesas + Wild West = heaven

I would also like to see a multi-player game on the level of MAG but set in medieval times, with swords and axes instead of guns, everyone would line up on one side of the battle field and charge.

I would also love to see a game based off of my favorite book series Deathlands. It would be a group based RPG ala Dragon Age, set in post apocalyptic America, where you could travel the entire country.

Star Wars Battlefront 3

This. I miss the Battlefront days.

This. I also want some influence from Dead Rising in so you can use ordinary objects such as chairs, tables, and cafeteria trays as weapons.
