Alright Bethesda, WTF!

I instinctively save every few minutes (like every 5-10 minutes) in different save slots. It has nothing to do with this game, but any game that lets me save anytime, anywhere I do it. I've had a few freezes in my 50+ hours so far exploring New Vegas, but no corrupted saves. When I say "a few" I mean like 4 freezes. Only one of them was crucial: Eg. Froze for me when I went between
Spoiler
Hoover Dam and Caesar's Legion camp and the end of the game.
, but it was no biggie as I saved right 3 times, in separate slots before pushing A to change areas. Bethesda and Obsidian are awesome companies and deserve nothing, but the utmost respect. They will fix the issues, I have faith in them.

People who want to fault the paying customer for not saving are missing the point. This game should have never shipped for sale in this shape. We are not mad because the game svcks - far from it. We are mad that due to some slapdash workmanship, we are wasting our time and money needlessly. It's not right, and to be honest, the loyalty we have given the franchise should merit us better service from Bethesda in terms of a fix and/or restitution. I hope they are listening and not just tuning all this out...

I'm sure they do and have listen to people complaining of bugs and glitches, but at a certain point they will start tuning out everyone else who complains. I'm almost certain that at this point in time, they aren't reading the boards and are concentrating only on releasing a fix to the problems as quick as possible.

The argument can also be made that Beth and Zenimax pressured Obsidian to push the game out to early. That they were rushed in production and in testing to beat Fable 3 to the market. Assuming it's all Obsidian's fault is rather narrow minded, not to mention dead wrong.

An opinion is welcome, but kindly watch the inferred insult. I've been in media management for over 15 years, and in all forms of it, the responsibility of a project lies solely with the producer/developer. For good or for bad. "Pressure" is SOP, especially deadlines, and not an excuse for a product defects or poor quality. Despite the "pressures" that may have existed, which I am sure were many, if Obsidian failed to deliver under them, that is simply an indicator that they were unable to do so, or unwilling to do so. Either way, the onus lies with them and their inability to manage, scale and/or execute a strategy that would have brought this game to market in at least as stable a manner as Bethesda brought FO3 to market, despite the afforementioned deadline "push".

There was no inferred insult. It was no insult at all. You can be the smartest person in the world and still be narrow minded.

If someone thinks that it's 100% Obsidian's fault then they're being narrow minded, it's as simple as that. If they (Obsidian) couldn't manage to deliver the game in better shape in the time they were allotted then Bethesda could have lent them more talent to get the game working properly. Zenimax could have afforded them a larger budget so they could hire more hands, especially in the QA department.

Or maybe Beth did lend them talent and Zenimax did give them more money for talent and it is all Obsidian's fault and I'm the one being narrow minded. Somehow I don't think that's the case here.
