Fallout killed my PS3?

I would first point out that Fallout can NOT cause the red/yellow light of death on the ps3. Thats usualy an overheating problem caused by improper storage, a broken fan or a lack of dusting. If you DO get that error, do not send it to sony. (unless its under warenty), plenty of local places will fix that problem for half what sony will charge you. (plus no need to ship it).

I recently had the blinking yellow light, it cost me eighty dollars to fix and under a weeks wait.

To the freezing issue a few things you can do to make it better, clearing the cache regularally (360). Or restoring the file system on the ps3.(look up safe mode). And I know it sounds like a pain but turn off all autosaving and save only to a new file. (you can delete saves later) For whatever reason overwriting will eventually make the problem worse.

Now I fear to even install Dead Money or think about Honest Hearts.[/font]

Most people (including myself) have found Dead Money to have a smoother gameplay then the rest of the Mojave.
