Why isnt Community Discussion listed on the front page : Othor Games

Wait, so you are telling me there are sections of this forum outside of Community discussion? My mind is completely blown. I'd also have to say it would be more fitting to have CD on the front. I personally don't like having to go through 3 pages just to get to whatever part of the forum I want.

How are new members supposed to see CD exists if they only chose the forum they want from the drop down menu, which does not include CD?

True, but back then all of the forums were listed on the front page. CD was removed when the front page was changed to only list the game series/sections.

And previous to that the main page was monstrously long (a fact many people complained about even).

Back then I actually posted on multiple forums. Now that I have to link directly to CD I've never had a chance to view the other sections.

It wasn't too long, especially if you minimize the sections that don't interest you. :shrug:

CD is listed in the drop down menus for jumping to forums. However it's true that if you only use the front page to go to forums you'll never see CD, previously you had to jump to a specific section to go any forums, now you don't. I'll admit that's a point worth considering.

The forums here are to discuss games published by Bethesda Softworks. CD is a bonus, and it's here to supplement the communities that develop around discussing the various games. As it is a supplement to those sections it is listed in those sections, not separately.

Still though, there should at least be a link , at least at the bottom of the list.

We did sort of in the past in the update before the last update.
Anyhow I am glad we don't have our own tab , I would have a idea that a lot of new people would see community discussion and then they would think " OH time to troll or/ and post mass memes or/and annoy people." Personally I find some of the new people are annoying to me so let them work to find it .

I understand mods view on linking the CD from the forum home page w/ all other games.

But CD forums rules and I think more people would participate if they knew about it. I was a member for a few months before even wandering in here.

Like others said people come for the games and stay for the community. CD needs more love

It's weird regarding the dropdown menus. They have it written in the page source, but deactivated.

also, I totally think we need a link to Skyrim on the main page. Maybe even two links. :hehe:

It was to bright for me too, which is why I edited a CSS that comes with Opera to display it as Gray.

I don't see this as a big issue. Bookmark it, Favorites what ever, works great. This is something in your power to control.

There is the other optoin. Get rid of CD and then there is no worry about it not being on the front page then. I guess we have to complain about everything and anything eh?

I hope CD does get put up on the front page, even if its at the bottom of the list.

It kind of feels like this is the glue that keeps all the other community's together.

Err, it once was... long ago. CD is not that big of a deal like it used to be. Putting it on the front page will make no difference.

But many posters in the other forums, particularly Oblivion GD and Mod/Spoilers, NEVER come here. That's with the knowledge that CD exists.

Can we get some indication as to whether this is actually being considered then?

At the moment we have a number of much larger fish to fry: the activity in the Skyrim forum and the Brink section being at the top of that list. The next time there's a forum update we'll probably discuss this, until then it isn't a priority.

I have also listed several reasons why CD is no on the front page and while there is one issue which I said may be worth considering that doesn't mean the points for keeping it off aren't valid.
