Also A Nightmare on Elm Street, not the lame remake (won't even watch it) but the very first one, was scarey for it's time. Now it looks like a joke because everything has to have visualized gore and what not in it now.
So it may seem lame compared today.
Also Hellraiser (sorry forget the name, the one with Pinhead in it) freaked me out back then. The other 2 were a joke but try the first one. Also the claissics, not remakes of Friday the 13th, and the first Halloween as well.
There is another one that really freaks me out, the original of course not the remake. I forget the name. All I can remember is something about a house, and the 2 windows lit up on the upper floor. That was really scare, at
least the first one. Problem with the 80's and 90's all the remakes of thriller movies became a joke and not scary at all but the the first ones were usually really spooky or scarey.
Now what was that house movie called? A something. The Amityville Horror I believe it was called. Really freaked me out. Then again I was a kid but still, nothing like what they make now, compares to them. Back then
they screwed with you head to scare and freak you out. Todays, it just to gross you out visually to scare you. Back then beats todays thrillers by a mile.
