JUST TELL US IF YOU CAN FIX THE GAME!

No, I not your experiences. never mind lol anyways. Obsidian just recently had laid off a lot of employees. This will not interfere with future DLC and Patches (i assume and would hope so) but this does have to do to the fact that they had to push out 3 games in a set amount of time. So I don't think that they don't care, its more that their jobs depended on it. Now they have to do damage control over releasing this game on every front. They have to keep the company going as well as keep people from being deterred from buying future titles.

I am glad to see some have no issues and I have heard the argument that it works great for the majority and bad for the few who post but my experience with NV has been very frustrating and I have found every issue I have experience already documented hear or the wiki. I go to wiki and here to help avoid issues and to find viable workarounds but should I have too? This game is mostly unplayable over 30 min intervals (sometimes less). Even my kids prefer playing F3 to NV because of the lockups.

I agree with others that we should not have to wait for a GotY edition or platinum re-release to get a fully patched game. I am patient and understand these issues take time but if the devs communicated more about what is being addressed, avoid being vague and when it will be fixed (or not if thats the case) alot of folks wouldn't be so upset.

I don't mind spoilers and if I have to read through pages of doumentation to make it playable thats fine but nothing peeves me more is losing several hours of play just to find the correct path to avoid issues that have been around since launch. I used .::AleisterCrowley::.'s fix page to help with the freezing (much appreciated by the way) and still I get constant freezes. Hard resetting my PS3's every time can't be good on the hardware either.

I have playing since F1 so I know bugs ar par for the course but NV feels unfinished. They should have tested it better prior to launch. Honestly I would rather wait longer to get it than get it earlier in an unfinished state. Gamebryo is old I know, but my F3 GotY on the 360 and PS3 with over 10mb saves don't have nearly the issues that NV has. Hell they still haven't addressed the Radio play problems and if I want to hear all the songs NV has to offer I have to listen to them from my J3.

Sorry nothing helped you, and thank-you for not blaming me for it. Some people thought it was my fault that nothing helped them, when I stated in the OP that it won't work for everyone. Oh well, what can you do?

Resetting your PS3 over and over is bad for anything electronic. Whenever the game crashed on me, I would turn it off and leave it off for at least an hour, and sometimes when turning it back on, the disc would try and eject from the system, but nothing came out. I never pushed eject either. this happened numerous times, and only with F:NV. This game is so random you minus well place bets on what's going to happen next.

Just because PSN is down doesn't mean you can't update your games...updates for games comes from different servers, so you can still update fallout: NV.... the new patch doesn't fix the crashes....

if it is being made, it will use Skyrims new software, which Bethesda hopefully didn't screw up. I personally can't wait for it.

That's why I'm not pre-ordering Skyrim, no matter what free DLC bonuses they offer. I want to make sure that it runs good. It's the first game to use a brand new engine so it might be just as buggy as GameBryo. I'll be checking the issues forums before I make my decision to purchase or not and which system (Xbox 360 or PS3, I don't have a PC and will never have one).

It's funny because, if they screw it up this time, I think that it will be it. So this might actually be the right time to pre-order because I will never believe, in 1000 years, that they will release a game with a new engine that will crash like this one.
