"So there were a lot of things we just optimised as far as performance goes"

Part of the first response.

Thanks...anything else?

Nope, they just went on to talk about how the engine had to be tweaked for extensive dialogue.

"For instance let's say I have a bad reputation with the NCR and they don't like me anymore but I want to do some of their quests, I can put on their armour and try to sneak my way in to do stuff that they normally wouldn't let me do, but they also have characters who can see through that, so there's a balance of who can see through it, taking care of them first, and then go and do the quest. "

Secret Agent Man!!! Straight up super spy. Ima try a playthrough like this haha.

Nice! So if we have a bad rep and then eventually do enough quests for them in their disguise will our rep go up enough to where we can take the disguise off?

AG: Obviously the game-world is different in that it's not a grey hue, it's sunny California; blue skies

Sorry, I just had to point this out. Its in the title, dude. Its Vegas, not California. Hey, if you're such a massive Fallout fan, how about you play the ones that are in California.

That was a good read
I'm actually reconsidering having Boone as a companion now
I feel like he might blow my cover in stealth mode since he shoots Ceasar's legion on sight
And the whole plant thing :tops:

Thanks to the OP for posting this

I like how they've expanded the conversation system. I hope this means that we can talk to several people at once.

What?

He referred to the weather being different from FO3 because it was in California. Which its not. Also I was connecting it to the conversation about game journalists claiming to be 'Massive' Fallout fans, but some not even knowing about/having played the first two.

Who said it was in cali? The author of the article we're discussing?

Oh, I should have made that more clear, sorry. The quote in my original post is from the author of the article.

That would be pretty cool but I'd be shocked if it was in the game.

It would probably kill the mission.

I dunno why you'd do that, especially when you can just align yourself with the Legion, kill any NCR soldiers you encounter indiscriminately, loot their corpses to disguise yourself as one of them, waltz into their compound incognito, rig strategic locations with remote detonation C4 bundles, find a high point in the compound to snipe from, rig your position with mines and then detonate all your C4 charges, snipe the survivors as they charge your position and watch them get blown to hell when they actually get close enough to see the whites of your eyes. Know what I mean, Verne?

We don't have that information. I'd go with the uber-strategic kill-crazy rampage, personally.

I've seen a similar epic battle. In Oblivion. Same engine. You do NOT want this.

150 hours may not be alot compaired with most of us on here, but he asked some good questions in my view.
I thought it was a good read.....give the guy a break.....it was alot better than some of the shocking interviews i've seen. :)

Yeah, some have been playing the first two games every year for over ten years running. 10 years > 150 hours.

The individual part (going through the portal, sapping the sigil stone in the tower and ducking the giant living battering ram) was, but the "epic" battle was enormously anticlimactic and laggy to boot.
