Game Glitches and Errors

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:49 am

This is not a WTF topic or post or even a post regarding any of the issues i am having, which are quite a few. I just want to ask the simple question of why? Games should not be released with this many glitches regardless of time constraint. This game could have used another at least 3-6 months of testing. To be fair this isn't the only title i have played that has released before Christmas 2010 that is full of game glitches and problems i could name several but this isn't about them. This question is for Bethesda and all of its affiliates. Releasing a game before it is ready is horrible for repeat buisness. The game was good I very much liked where they went with it. But you and I and everyone else knows the game was simply not ready. A title should never have to be released to fix its problems. I am a true gamer, and I take my games pretty seriously. This in all of its right is unacceptable to your fanbase. I know, I for one feel like I was taken for granted. Not from only this company but from the other companies who are doing the same thing. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this knowing that there can be little done now. The damage is done and we reap what we sow. Also thanks for at least trying to reprimand yourselves by pushing these patches.. In my opinion you should all be working to fix this, if i put my name on a title I know I sure would.

Thanks again..

Obviously a release date deadline did not allow for the bug fixing process to come to completion. I really don't know why they willingly released a blatantly faulty product in favor of meeting a release deadline.

As far as I'm concerned Fallout and Elder Scrolls are Bethesda's Flagship titles. Would Nintendo release Zelda or Mario in this condition? No, if they're not ready, they push back their release dates to ensure that the fans get the best quality they can deliver.

It really DOES seem like they intended us to finish the testing, and point out the errors. So they wouldn't have to pay anyone to do it.

Whatever testing was done, it couldn't have consisted of playing the entire game from start to finish.

Do I even need to bother by the look of all the other posts? Everyone seems to be having the same problems, I guess I'm crazy for thinking that this many people finding this many problems this fast only goes to show the Bathesda/Obsidian/whoever needs a new testing team, hey, I could do it, and I'd actually do my job too.

I hate the fact that most of the bugs are "game breaking"

I could live with smaller, less critical bugs happening. But bugs that actually stop you from moving forward in the game have destroyed this for me.

I loved Oblivion, FO3 and FO:NV , but this has seriously made me put the game down after 80+hrs of playtime.

Not being able to finish the "You'll know it when it happens" and "For the republic pt 2" quests has really disheartened me. And i dont want to go on any side quests, scavenging untilli can progress this as it would be a waste of time.

Exactly!lol! Testing was obvously NOT done, not to any decent extent anyway.
My inital thinking though is how did MS , the super nazis of the patch world, Allow this mess to pass certification?

TBH like in the last one, the occasional crash , or gettigng stuck in objects is fine by me. I couldnt care if someone stuck on a wall or some of the speech disappears. These may be annoying but a quick reload or after a few moments , the glitch is gone or you've moved on.

Whats does really grind my gears is the game breaking bugs!! Personally I'm locked out of the strip on my playthrough, and I don't see the point of starting again as no one seems to know what causes the glitch or how to avoid it!
