The Brotherhood of Steel are in NV, albeit in a minor role. There is power armor, though it is of the T-51 variety from Fallout 1 and 2, and not the T-45 from Fallout 3

BoS will have a small presence in New Vegas. Also power armor will be returning but power armor from 1 and 2 not 3. T-51b to be exact also the Mark II stuff.

Yes they will be in with a small role they will be wearing the original T-51b Power Armor not FO3's T-45d Power Armor.

I cant really explain. just the art style of it the structure the detail comparing that power armor with the Fallout 3 power armor. this stuff looks like they just went to the moon, the other stuff looked like something from killzone it just looks more serious. oh well... atleast the NCR ranger armor looks good..

Yeah... ok. IMO, this armor feels fallout. Feels badass. It was the original Power Armor used in FO1 and FO2, and it made the BoS walking tanks. Bethesda just came up with a new design and gave it to that girl-scout version of the BoS on the east. Each to their own. :tops:

The T-51bs are way better than those ridiculous looking T-45ds. Getting rid of those things was one of the first mods I used.

Well, the power armor you see here is what we saw in Fallout 1 and 2. The stuff in Fallout 3 was a clear deviation in style. IMO, it's the Fallout 3 stuff that seems wrong.

Anyone else hoping for some acid etched power armor? :D

in the classic games the armor looked good but with this graphics engin it looks silly i dont know how to explain it. its very much opinion but it pretty much shows just by looks that the stuff from FO3. is more stable and more then likely has more benefits. it looks alot more flexible.

im not trying to make it a "fallout 3 looks better then vegas" i can't wait for vegas and i did play Fallout 3 before the first 2 but i did i just think that the armor could have been more detailed. darker etc.

Are you saying the T-45d had more benifits? No. In the classic armor actually had benifits. It was called Damage Threshhold and it wasn't in FO3. It will be returning in FONV so the T-51b will have benifits again.

i ment visually.. obivously everything i have been talking about thus far has been how it looks. to me the classic power armor just doesnt look as great and im thrilled to have BOTH sets in the game. i can see how the armor has some type of damage reduction or w/e better then the FO3 Power Armor but it just doesnt look very flexible. this is all opinion though. dont kill me over an opinion. :shakehead:

So pumped about this. It's great that they brought back the classic armors but also gave those of use who loved FO3's signature T-45d the option to wear it.

It's only meant for heavy soldiers meant to take a lot of abuse and deal a lot of damage, it's not like you'd be going on a recon mission in this stuff. It's original purpose was more about defense than flexibility.

Waldos are awesome. Shame you don't get a significant melee bonus from the stuff.

Imagine welding various pointy bits to the forearms :D
