Practicing Magic

Post » Sat Jul 21, 2012 4:15 am

Hey guys. I was wondering if there was anywhere to practice magic. If I think correctly, when you shoot or slash targets, you raise the respective skill. I was wondering if there was anything like this for magic? I'm roleplaying a blind man and need to be able to practice magic without running into caves and stuff. I'm mainly using illusion and conjuration, but I will be using all schools eventually.

Thanks!

If you shoot or slash targets it doesn't raise your skill.

I think?

Regardless the apprentices at the college shoot it into the light orbs in the hall of the elements. But I don't think it raises your skill.

If you sneak over by a fort with villains in it you can hide behind the wall and practice your magic there. Those particular skills raise up by casting magic near enemies not on them.

You have to cast illusion on someone, but calm is not an argessive magic and you can safely cast it on npc's anywhere. But why do that when muffle raises it just purly by casting it. But for conjuration you have to be in combat with someone for it to work.

Find a giant, lead him to water, be around waist deep, and he'll stand there. Practice two bound swords and sheath them.

For illusion, get courage and go to any hold. Find a gate guard (they never move if you do no crime) and spam courage till 100. It's not a crime because it's a helping spell.

Alteration, do the giant thing and when you have enough Magicka, stand in Whiterun and cast detect life. Very quick.

Restoration, find a continuous trap, weak enemy, blizzard at the throat of the world, or use equilibrium. Next, monitor health loss and heal.

Destruction: I'm too lazy to train destruction.

She'll run outside for a minute then run back in like nothing happened. I'd suggest a mammoth, water (they don't enter either), an offensive spell, and heal other. Infinite mammoth.
