- suggest everyone who pre-orders Rage will get a free upgrade to Anarchy Edition? I pre-ordered the boxed standard UK edition about 10 days before release from shopto.net (anarchy edition was out of stock at most retailers at that time), and I didn't get a 'free upgrade to anarchy edition'. The video is quite clear 'PRE ORDER NOW AND UPGRADE TO ANARCHY EDITION FOR FREE'.

If the offer was for digital distribution only, it should have said so. This was reported on every gaming site, and they all reported it as 'all pre-orders get a free upgrade'. Here's how VE3D reported it-

It's not a massive deal since it's just a few items, but it feels like i've been misled. I could have switched my pre-order over once the anarchy edition was back in stock a few days later, but after seeing the video, I didn't even consider doing so because I didn't think I needed to.
