Pre Order Code (For all)

Post » Sat Jun 11, 2011 5:35 am

Considering Brink's abysmal launch, (360) i would personally like the doom pack free. I believe this is fair, and should be the first step as to consolation to those who have stuck with this game and not sold it. (as tempting as it's been for many)

You are getting a free DLC that includes two new costumes, two new maps, and 5 new abilities. I think that is fair.

Wasnt that stuff game content that was cut just before launch? Seems bit bloody cheeky to pass it off as a peace offering when we should have got it included in the damn game in the first place. Im losing a lot of respect for these guys :(

Every time a DLC for any game comes out within the first 2 months is always met with "Its just cut content! " this is rarely if ever the case. Generally what happens is that they start working on the DLCs while the game is in post production, by the time the game leaves the devs hands and hits the market, + 2 months, = plenty of time to create something new, especially when they already have ideas about what they want to do.

You might be right but the problem is the game had very little content to begin with.

Do you really think the companies care what each individual wants? They cannot tailor their team to work specifically for one person's demands. If you wanted the DOOM pack, you should have preordered with the right store. You can always buy an unused code on Ebay.

Just wanted to point out that this isn't really true, or at the very least there are some large points to the contrary. Namely Dragon Age 1 and 2. Hell, Dragon Age 2 made the dlcs available before the game.

I didn't follow it too closely so I might have this bit confused, but I got the impression that the people who got Borderlands for the pc were awfully pissed about essentially having to pay for their bug fixes by getting the dlcs.

Considering how the notion of "release, then patch" has made game developers lazy and customers frustrated, I think its wise to be wary of any mention of a dlc.

This is not me agreeing with the OP by the way.

They are doing free DLC out soon. Also, I have the Doom Pack. Wouldn't be fair to those of us who have it already, would it?

Actually what is so fair about pre-order packs anyway? This whole pre-order process is annoying. I paid the same price as the pre-order crowd but I get "less" game. Why, because I didn't put down 5 bucks 6 months ago? That's not fair. I understand not getting it from the beginning but not at all?

It's called incentive, and it is fair, you don't want to you don't have to, but you know the consequences way before hand so you have no room to complain.

I preordered the game 4 hours before it went on sale and got the code, and tbh... unless your 12 years old, what's 5 dollars that you aren't even losing? I spent 23 dollars on a drink tonight.

Yeah, I hear ya. 5 bucks is not a lot of money. Maybe I will start doing it also. Because I do feel like I'm losing out a little bit. I just miss the old days when 99.9% of the time people got the same game.

People like you actually make me sick.

With its very few issues I thought this game is amazing and still do. It wasn't a pre-order anyway. I paid £2 extra to get the limited edition which had the Doom/Spec Ops pack DLC. Stop whining and crying for stuff for free.

I mean with other games. As long as they fixed the issues. I was happy, doesn't matter to me how long it takes. I don't rely on gaming to run my life.

Few issues? i still can't play online because of the lag/crash... This game is dead, they should be doing everything they can to keep their (few) loyal customers around.

"Loyal Customers" Who come on and slate the game for everything that its worth.

Well I've not had these Lag/Crash issues you have. And they don't need to do anything.
