Preferred Overhaul Mod

Post » Fri Jun 17, 2011 1:47 am

I'm done with vanilla NV after MANY play throughs, and the more I read up on overhaul mods, the more I begin to like the idea of change! Personnally I have been looking at Project Nevada and Arwens. I would like to up the difficulty (face it, even on Very Hard you become a demi-god) and utilize new features these mods are using. This run will be a hardcoe run as well. Both sound like a lot of love and time went into making them as well, but in the end there can be only one...at least for me, i'd rather give my time to just one right one.

What are your opinions and why? :poke:

I prefer Project Nevada, partly because I had such good experiences with FWE in FO3 (which continue in NV), and partly because of its customizability. Arwen's (the only other one I've tried) does a lot of stuff I really like (I'd love a stand-alone version of the Med-Tec module, for example), and a few things here and there that I really don't like. Unfortunately, most of the things I don't like can't be disabled (or couldn't when I tried it last), so I stick with PN.

I use a very tweaked version of Project Nevada and I use FOOK. FOOK isn't that special in its current version, but when it gets to the size of FOOK2 it'll be great. What's nice is that I can use some of the features I got from FWE with FOOK for once.

Does Project Nevada become as difficult as Arwens as far as combat? My issue is feeling like a God once I get higher level, thats usually where vanilla New Vegas left...way to powerful. I love aspects of both Arwen and PN, but there are conflict issues with them on my system so I will only run one.

It's sounding like Project Nevada is what everyone really prefers though for overhaul.
