Prehaps, some evidence of chinese nuclear bombardment? : Fallout: New Vegas

I find it hard to believe that china nuked america. There's no evidence, not even a crashed chinese airforce plane, or a bomb, and the megaton bomb does not count, it looked like a US army bomb, as you can tell from the ones in that fort. Could the game devs, put in atleast a crashed chinese plane? or.... I know! a ghoulifed chinese soldier who IS not feral, and will talk to us? yes, thats it. talk to us?

Things that would be nice for the game devs to add.

A ghoulifed Chinese airforce pilot that crashed, due to the bombs, and got ghoulifed and is prisoned in the big empty?

Nukes don't look that different where ever you go. It's all just the same design, especially going along with the 1950's style of the game. All a nuke is is a uranium wedge that is driven down into a uranium sorce, no matter where you go.

And it would take some lucky situations for a bomber to survive. It would go down in a target zone so.... BOOM.

Um... correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Chinese use missiles to nuke the U.S.? If that were the case there would be no bomber, and no bomber pilot. Besides it may not have been only the Chinese nuking the U.S.. Nuclear war means every country launches their ICBMs at their own targets. In all likelyhood even though most of the bombs that fell in America came from China, a good portion probably came from other countries. The same would be true of other countries as well. The United States may not have been the sole source of nuclear explosions in China.

There's only one problem with the ghoul Chinese pilot: The PRC only launched ICBM's at Vegas (I think), and House disarmed or shot most of them down.
At least, that's what I assume from House's dialogue about how Vegas survived.

Your standard nuclear armageddon scenario not only has ground-launched ICBMs, but also submarine-launched SLBMs and bomber-launched ALBMs. Which is why during the Cold War, both sides poured a /lot/ of money into developing long-range, high-speed interceptor craft (see: F-15 Eagle/F-14 Tomcat/MiG-31 Foxhound/Su-27 Flanker) to stop said bombers before they got into firing range.

It said on the wiki that U.S. and Russia had pretty good relations at the time of the war, so it was definitely China that bombed us. They didn't use a bomb, they used many nuclear warheads that don't require any pilots or planes. And in FO3, there were ghoulified Chinese remnant soldiers, spies, and commandos. Just not many of them.

What if it's the same situation along the lines of the Show Jericho. for those of you who don't know the show basically mercenaries try to take control of the US GOV by Nuking 14 of the most populated places in the U.S. then they Nuke North Korea and Iraq or afghan as a cover up. Knowing the Enclave I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones who started it all.

Remember F3 in Mama Dolce's there was Ghoul, not feral, Chinese Soldiers who attacked you no matter what. Also they don't speak English, only Chinese, how are you supposed to understand what he/she is saying? I agree, there should be more some minor nudges of The Great War in the game. But NV takes place 200 years after, maybe nothing even lasted that long.

this makes no sense. maybe china never sent a bomber over. I says that bombers lead then missiles followed. What if they never sent bombers? Even if they did there would be none in the East because a bomber would have dropped it's payload earlier or gotten shot down. And if a plane was shot down then maybe it was too mangled to recognise

I think they dropped bombs. In Fo3, the Megaton bomb. In FNV, there is a bomb around the Devils Gullet area. So, the likelyhood is that they were bombs and ICBMs. Whichever way you slice it, the US is nuked.

Most countries would use a 3 pronged attack.......... ICBMs, high altitude bombers with thermal nulcear or atomic bombs, and air to ground nuclear cruise missles. The 3rd is if you have a strong navy subs and missle cruisers would launch nuclear cruise missles as well.

This is done so it is nearly impossible to stop all or even close to all payload.
