So it's pretty obvious

That Skyrim DLC will be focused around the return of the Dwarves, or at least be heavily involved in the Dwarven part of the game, it was hinted at so heavily throughout the base game.

Thoughts?

I agree about the part where money will be squeezed out of players. That is always the whole plan from the beginning when it comes to DLC, when it is released, and the pricing.

However, I will say that seeing Dwemer in this game would be awesome.

While a future DLC involving Dwemer ruins wouldn't surprise me in the slightest I doubt it will involve their return. I can't say I ever got the impression that TES V was that heavily involved with the Dwemer, they're certainly far less prominent than in Morrowind. Tribunal did have a large Dwemer section, but for the most part Morrowind's DLC didn't dwell on them much despite delving into Dwemer lore quite a bit in the original game.

I'd hoped that once but it's not that likely. You might want to check the Lore forum for discussion on the Dwemer and a certain book which discussed their fate.

True to arcade shooters, but in the past Bethesda has given us some incredible DLC/expansion packs for a very decent price; so in this case I disagree with you.

Decent price is a subjective term.

DLC price is something that really deserves its own topic (probably in Community Discussion rather than Skyrim General, as such a topic would likely need to be fairly general at this point). Let's try and keep this one on the subject of Dwarves.

Alright then.

What proof of their return exists in Skyrim, aside from wishful thinking? A dwemer manuscript "Will be back in 4000 years!" or something similar will do.

to be honest, i wouldn't mind traveling to another deadric realm. possibly molag bal's coldharbour or azura's moonshadow.

Since Skyrim gave Elder Scrolls the power of beardness, the Dwemer should appear as DLC. Only I think it would be cooler if instead of coming back from wherever they went, you go to them. Maybe even time travel.

I got a good title too.
Skyrim: The Time Beardits.
Wait, no.
Skyrim: The Flow of Beards and Time.
Something, something. whatever. It sounded good in my head. Leave me alone.

Ghehe. I stand corrected. I was referring to the one about the cost. I'll correct it, sir.

Edit: Done.

Horse armor, anyone?

Sometimes i wonder if the uselessness of horses is to prepare for a horse armor dlc :D

I'd like to see an area like Blackreach explored a lot more, finding that place was probably the most enjoyable experience in Skyrim for me.

Anyone seen the archway in the wilderness? It leads into Morrowind, but there's an invisible wall there. IMO, that's a clear set-up for DLC, and if it isn't, then it's a damn shame.

I clearly said 'hinted at', nothing was said directly, I just got the feeling that the Dwemer would be explored in detail in one of the upcoming DLC packs.

They are reffered to as both 'Dwemer' and 'Dwarves' in TES.

But that's the only definitive aspect of the upcoming DLC we can be sure about.

If it wasn't about the money, it would have been F2P, don't you think?

I hope they don't bring the Dwemer back. I think their remnants are more interesting than breaking the lore.

i also thought that either their next game was going to be centered around the dwemer or the DLC was. but i do think that the you can never go wrong with the dwemer in TES.
