So I picked stormcloaks, except I refuse to the mainquest again, I don't want dragons in the air for the rest of the time I play this game..

Now I must deliver the axe to the Jarl of Whiterun. I try and he says can't do anything about Ulfric until the dragon problem is solved. So I decided to advance a little further in the story. I talked the court wizard and everything and was sent to bleak falls barrow

I don't feel like going to bleak falls barrow and now when I talk to Jarl, I gave him the axe but he still said the dragon problem needs to be solved before he will do anything with Ulfric.

If I go any further by doing Bleak Falls barrow and dragon will appear at whiterun and I will eventually absorb his soul.

So now I'm stuck. I want to do the Civil war questline without starting the main quest to where dragons appear.

Any ideas?

You have to kill that one dragon. You will have others spawn randomly, after level 20 I think it is, but it is far fewer. I have had less than ten dead at level 41 with about 80-90 hours of play in. Most of the ones I faought were Word Wall dragons and I really only wanted to stop them from flying around when I got close to a wall location.

The dragons that spawn can be avoided. You can run from them. Of course going near word walls will for a confrontation with one.

I know its crap, I had the same thing with my thief character to advance in the thieves guild quest line you at some point have to enter Dragons reach which I think kicks off the main quest, at least I think it does, I avoided it completely as I hate the nuisance dragons as-well.
