Problem on Totems of Hircine-Haemar's Shame

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 3:32 am

Okay so in doing this mission, I enter the Haemar's Cavern. Ive been to this cave before for another mission, but I cant seem to remember which one since I did it so long ago. So all the enemies are gone, which makes going through the cavern a piece of cake. Then I get to the part of the cave where I can enter Haemar's Shame. Every single time I enter, the loading screen comes up, the smoke on the loading screen starts rising, then all the sudden it freezes. Am I never going to be able to finish this quest now? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Well I just found the 1.4 patch list and this problem is on it for anyone that reads this who might be having the same problem. I guess I shouldve done a little more research before posting.

I'm having this issue also but not when entering Haemar's Cavern but when entering another cave to get one of the totems, I'm hoping it fixes my issue as well.

On a PS3 I have that issue just going in another zone. Even my own house. Have to restart and try again, which usually works.

I had this problem with other quests from the Companions when the place had already been cleared. So before taking any quest I first save, go do it, and if it does not work, I reload, ask for work again and the place will change to a better one. Reload, ask Vilkas or Farkas for a quest and then return to Alea. The place should change.

Call me stupid, but i didnt save right before starting that quest. Had i known of this issue, i definitely would have. But im not too worried about it, the patch is supposedly coming this week. As long as that fixes this issue, I'll be happy.
