Problem with beams of light

Um, I'm don't know if there has been a topic about this, and looking at the vast amount of topics this forum has, I'm sure most of the people aren't too eager to look through them one by one, so I created another one instead, hoping it isn't much of a problem.
I have a problem. You guys all know the beams of light at the College of Winterhold that shoot from the well-thing to the sky, right?
I can't see any light at all. At first I thought it wasn't a problem, since it doesn't affect the gaming much, but then I had difficulties completing the "Revealing the Unseen" quest. I can't see any beams of light. At all. There's nothing. Even after I shoot fireballs and ice at it. Nothing happens. It appears burnt but nothing more. I'm pretty sure it's related to the light in the well. I can't see it in my game but other people have it. What's wrong?

Please post additional details. We cant help you if you just say "this does not work".

Post your computer information/ specs. Your skyrim version. Graphics settings (high, medium, low etc). Tweaks you have made to ini files. Your mod install list (not just plugins, but packages installed! That means texture mods as well, which dont show up as plugins), if you use any mods at all. Savegame size (in MB). What type of mod organizer you use.
