Problem with Hadvar

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 8:21 pm

So I just finished the Civil War quest line and sided with the legion. Problem is now whenever I go to Whiterun hadvar spawns behind me and follows me around with his weapon drawn. As soon as I leave the city, however, he walks away like nothing happened. Its not a huge issue seeing as he only shows up when I enter Whiterun, but I really do not want him following me around regardless. I get no dialoge when I try to talk to him and when I fight him he just goes down to one knee then gets up again.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and whether there is a fix for this.... its quite annoying. I'm on the 360, so can't use commands. Oh, and I also reloaded an earlier save right before I finished the Civil War quest line and he did not spawn behind me then...only after I finish that questline and only in whiterun does he spawn.

Any help here would be great.

I had this happen after the civil war questline, but a little later I went to Riverwood and he was hanging around the inn there. He hasn't shown up in Whiterun again.

So try staying away from Whiterun for a while and head over to Riverwood? Might debug him.

Thanks, I'll try heading over to Riverwood then and see if that fixes the problem. I'll post here again to let you know if it works.

Walk as close to him as you can, save the game, exit the game completely, start it back up and reload. He'll put his sword down and start walking to Riverwood.

Nope, didn't work. Went to Riverwood Inn, talked to him, fast traveled back to White run and there he was spawning behind me following me everwhere until I left Whiterun, then he goes on his merry way.... I guess I'll just have a imperial soldier guard following me around Whiterun whenever I go there. I'll just pretend my character is just that important... at least in Whiterun.

What I said works.
