Problems playing on Steam

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:52 pm

After i got my pre order pack from play.com which didnt have any codes for my items to start with, I have played games before on Steam mainly Dawn of War 2 with out problems New Vegas was jumpy at best the game ran fine at High and Ultra settings but would randomly crash for no reason, then it seemed to even out and playing with out having to save every few moments wasnt a problem. Only now a few days ago the game seems to lag from mild to quite badly, i play Mass Effect 2 & Dragon Age Origins as well as WoW on my pc with out a single problem all set to High and above with out an issues it seems only to be New Vegas

I have used steam to make sure my drivers are uptodate and that seems to have made little diffrence what so ever. I never had problems running Fallout 3 on Windows XP but i cant seem to get it to run on 7 with out it all ways crashing.

Try this:

http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34778

I downloaded that, follow the instructions.

I've had the exact same problem, my PC can run other games on High - Ultra but i seemed to have bad framerate on Fallout: NV so i downloaded that, added it to the Fallout folder and BAM... I havn't hadn't problem.

Thats NVIDIA

Either
Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/common/Fallout new vegas
or
Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Fallout new vegas
