does anyone know how to fix 2 problems with ED-E.

1. how to make reappear. when doing the quest "Anywhere I Wander" ED-E has disappeared. i still have his perk Enhanced Sensors but he dosent show up any where! even if i fast travel somewhere. its annoying since he has stuff stored in him that i was going to sell, he might not be good in combat but he's a great pack brahmin "excuse the fallout humor".

2 . after doing upgrades on ED-E for the quest ED-E My Love he becomes still. (this is before problem 2). when im engaging in combat he will not move. he will stand a spot and wont do a thing except absorb bullets or become my damage shield. this happened after he got his upgrades. this happens on either side of the quest. after the 3 days he becomes broken. when playing fallout new vegas first time he did not do this or have any problems but now on my second fallout profile he has lots of problems. what i think is what happened tho is that when i first got ED-E upgraded i removed my items and was fine after his 3 day upgrading, on my 2nd account i think i did'nt remove my items and now it has combat problems probably due because his AI cant find the old items he was carrying but its wierd that he would since i read on Fallout Wiki to see if there was anyone there, ED-E really has 3 scripts, AI, i dont know what there called but they are un-upgraded ED-E, weapon upgraded ED-E, and defense upgraded ED-E.

if anyone knows a way to fix these problems maybe problem 1 first please tell me or if obsidian can put a folower patch since i have has problems on my other folowwers like raul dissaperaing and forgeting to put a script on Arcade Gannon to recruit him. well thats my post.

I'm facing the exact same issue as your problem 1.
it's rather annoying because i cannot recruit Rex since the system "think" ED-E is by your side, which he doesn't.

you can try on following solutions, but neither of them works for me:
1. sleep 7 days in the game.
2. go to vault 22 and take the elevator. (need repair skill 50)
3. go to Primm or wander between GoodSpring and Primm to find it.

If they were not working...then it's really f**ked up. Just like me.

p.s, NPC will randomly say: Nice Robot, which means it's right there, but invisible.

Same as your number 2.

I had Ed-E upgraded via FOA and he refuses to fight. He follows just fine until a battle comes up, then he stops and does nothing.
I can clear the enemies and reset him (wait-follow) but now he's just as good as a little red wagon with a high storage cap.
I can't see myself with any other companion.... :violin:

As far as finding him.. I hear that you can hit Vault 22 and take the elevator down to the pest control floor and your lost companion should be waiting, so long as you haven't dismissed him/her.

I don't see myself playing much without my Ed-E :cold:

As far as loosing ED-E goes, I've had this problem myself. Was wandering around outside when I turned and noticed ED-E was gone. I back tracked and found he was glitched into the side of a boulder, after moving all around the damn thing he finally got "Unstuck" and followed me normally. It seems you have to be extremely careful where you walk outside or ED-E can get stuck on random crap, human followers as well, I lost Veronica at one point, back tracked and found her stuck in a crack in the ground.Shameful Obsidian....

same thing with rex getting stuck in a train track around vault 3..
