Ok, Xbox controller ordered from Amazon. I might as well try it for such a console oriented game. If it doesn't work out, I'll just use a separate mouse and keyboard. Thanks for all of your input.

You'd have to use software to program the PS3 controller to work but since you have to buy a controller anyway, it would be easiest to get an Xbox controller which will work as soon as you plug it in.
^This. Not to mention Xbox controllers are more comfortable and don't have triggers that make me want to kill myself.

Since you're buying one, like everyone else has said, do a 360 controller. That's plug 'n play. Ps3 would require you delving into the internet to find drivers that work, and it's a headache. (My friend wanted same thing but I gave up)

Wait so my Xbox controller could work? Cause I'm not really capable of playing well on a keyboard or mouse

You're probably trolling, but I agree with you. I can't stand the Xbox controller, it feels so awkward compared to the PS3 one. That said, I'm a bit biased ;)

I gave the 360 controller a fair chance to prove itself and it was a terrible experience. Awkward, clunky, just overall a bad design for a controller, IMO.

I can tell you this. I just downloaded The Witcher 1 and cannot play it. It does not support the controller, and my wrist cannot take the long gaming secessions that I put into these games. I can play for upwards of 16 hrs with a controller. That damn mouse sux.

It is sad too, because I really want to play that game before TW2. Luckily it supports the Xbox controller.
