Why is PSN down? Sony decided to call out hackers, Kevin Butler accidently tweeted the master root key, and because Sony's network wasn't compliant with PCI standards and is unpatched/unfirewalled. Sony had it coming.

I was wondering how long it was going to take to see one of these topics. I've been reading the forums a bit here and I keep feeling sad inside every time I see a person is getting it for PS3. Great system.. but they are having a tough time right now obviously. You should buy the game on steam too until then?

The PSN will still be down until 3 weeks, this is the opportunity that you can either level up throughout this month and wait patiently until May 31st.

Well, I'm hoping for an early return of the online gaming part. I could go without the PS Store until next month. And as long as they give me credit for a month PLUS the number of days DC Universe Online is OFFLINE, I can deal with no DC Universe, but I want to whup some keisters on Brink's multiplayer, even if I have to play a freaking male avatar to do it. Here's hoping they get the online up and running sooner than the end of the bloody month.

Most of the PSN services, online play is first-priority for Sony and they are at the final testing stages. So expect online-play anywhere in between 1 to 7+ days.

PSN won't be fully up until May 31, yes. However online play, Quirocity, Home, etc. are supposed to be back by the end of the week. Til then, it looks like I'll be campaigning a lot. I might have 2 maxed-out characters by then.

i bought this for xbox , but i still love my ps3 alot more.

and guys stop lying. sony will restore ALL services on may 31 but the online gaming will be available this week...
