Puppy name

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 1:13 pm

I just got a new puppy(American Bulldog) and I need help thinking of a name. So far, I like Azura or Nightingale. Help with names? Suggestions? Thoughts?

Dogmeat.

I'd love to do that, but I don't think anyone would get that joke and they would be all like "omg why would you name your puppy dogmeat!?".

lol yes, let's name my dog after the King of [censored]. But trust me, I went through like every Daedric Prince's name to see if any would work, and most are either really evil sounding, or would only work for a male. Because if I had gotten a male, hands down, his name would have been Hircine. But Azura is the only one that seems to fit a female and it sounds nice.

Well, in my game of Morrowind, I'm the Nerevarine and my name is texnshasta, and my character is female, so shasta works if you want to name it after gods.

Azura does sounds pretty cool. How about an Aedric name? Mara, Dibella, perhaps Kyne for Kynareth? I would name it Kyne if it were my puppy, I think it's a great name.

Seems almost fitting to name a cat after a fish-god.

Sparkplug :P

Seriously though it's really what you feel comfortable naming the dog and what the dog responds well to when called. My dog when I got him from the shelter was named Jose Rayez after that baseball player or whatever. We didn't favor the name particularly so we called him Buddy and he pretty much likes the name responding to it particularly well. Other dogs i've had have been named Pilgrim and Chance with 2 cats being named Oscar *yes like the meat company*.

Could go with a standard name like Bull or perhaps Tor short for Torus.
