QATestersDevelopers for DW

Seriously, how could anyone in Bethesda missed this??? And even after half a year, its still not fixed!!!

I mean, if it would be some kind of quest in middle of nowhere or a graphical glitch hidden on the other side of a mountain, sure that could be missed.

But a fact, that you cannot properly use one of the main new features of the game got overlooked? These people should be fired immediately. Or if they didn't overlooked it, how could Bethesda dare even promote the thing so much(almost all of the videos/trailers, hell even the main poster!) and then released it like a half baked cake.

Did the developers at least said now, that they are looking into this problem with hotkeys?!

THE ISSUE - for those that obviously don't use DW - you cannot equip different melee weapons into offhand. Dual Wield hotkey works only if you have 2 exactly same weapons, pressing it twice will put each one of the weapons to left and right hand. But having two different weapons - like a Mace and Sword (or even two different swords, or enchanted weapons) doesn't work, and instead it will unnequip the weapon.

What is the issue exactly? I am unclear on what you are on.

Good thing you edited... I was trying to think of anything DW I could think of, none of which seemed to apply.

Ah, yes...Reapers.

It was and is still a problem. I just gave up on anything being done and learned to accept it. I hate it too, but what can you do? Even the modding community have had no luck in addressing the problem.

He is complaining about how poorly the favourites system handles dual wielding.

Expect this from gamesas.

Ever since Morrowind or Oblivion, their QA department really needs to be completely fired and new people brought in. It's simply inexcusable for the amount of persistant bugs that they keep getting in their games. I know that all games are buggy when first released, but gamesas really takes the cake.

Morrowind seems pretty solid- it's mostly a bunch of little things that were never fixed (spelling errors, NPCs progressing north despite bening stationary, badly-implemented shadow system, etc.)

Oblivion had that famous FormID Bug that was fixed only after SI was released. In case you didn't know, all items in-game have a form ID. The game is supposed to recycle them, but it didn't because without SI, it would occur several hundred hours before the game exploded. With SI, it hit in as little as 50 because multiple NPCs kept having stuff added to their inventory. gamesas's fix? They fixed the root cause, but not the massive amount of stuff NPCs got...

With Fallout 3... Mothership Zeta. Head of their QA had left after that. The fandom believes they were fired over that debacle.

New Vegas? If it's a gameplay issue, yell at gamesas because they QA tested it. If it's story related, yell at Obsidian.

And the bugs seem to be worse with PS3- we keep hearing issues where some bugs are ONLY on the PS3, even after patching. It honestly seems like they completely forget about their console buyers when it comes to QA, largely fixing severe core gameplay issues, but otherwise letting modders fix things such as spelling errors and "shaking" roots or corpses.

It would just be nice if Bethesda would acknowledge these issues and say they're looking into them and maybe let us know if they plan to keep patching the game until its fixed.

*snicker*

Seriously, don't expect gamesas to fix all but the most gamebreaking of bugs. I'd put these issues with DW as "Moderate, but not gamebreaking"

Yeah, I know it'll probably never happen... Just thinking about that pisses me off though. Once the games out the door they stop caring.

To be fair, dual-wielding was a latecomer to the Skyrim party. Beth said that they added it in much later than other types of combat because it felt like it fit. I wish they had worked on it much longer, though that is only one of a long list of things I wish they could have worked on in that time
