So I tweeted Pet Hines today after he posted about the new article on Bethesda.net to release Quakecon footage. His reply "...less than a week before launch I don't see why we would put out footage that is months old"

But I only really wanted to see Piper and we already seen her. It svcks but I'll live.

At this point I'm of course hungry to see some new footage. But I don't care if its from Quakecon - just want to see more.

On the other hand I'm only going to care about footage at all for another few days so it's kind of moot to me.

Agreed, any footage, well official footage, would be welcome. Like you said though, in a few more days it won't matter one bit!

I won't be playing Fallout 4 till the end of december, so for me it would be much appreciated and spoiler free. I don't want to search for user gameplay in case of spoilers.

Considering there has been hours of gameplay put up this week and likely more as we draw closer. I am not worried.

Not really. Those fans travelled to a company event, and got to see EXCLUSIVE footage as a reward. Again, now that we are 5 1/2 days away from experiencing everything ourselves, I agree with Pete Hines - it really doesn't matter anymore.

Look at it this way, in less than a week we will all be playing this game. Just hang on!

If they were ever going to release it, they would have already. We're down to the wire.... what we'll see with be small tidbits here and there... up to the release.

I would have really loved to see it, its a shame.

But then the game will be with us shortly. But the home stretch always feels the longest when waiting for a game.

Maybe his brain exploded in joy from delicious information with all of the leaks coming around. He reminds me in a very good way of a Brotherhood scribe who would see a fancy piece of tech and start gushing over it.

The last day is going to be the worst. Each hour will seem longer than the rest. Luckily, I work during the day on Monday, and I think I'll go to sleep as soon as I get off, and wake up at 11 PM for the Steam unlock in my time zone, then play through the night! Sleep is for the weak!

Would be nice if they would release it for those, like myself, who are avoiding leaks because I don't want spoilers but would like to see a little more from Bethesda. But hey I can wait I guess. But its killing me, but I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait (sorry got to keep telling myself this).

Question: What the hell is Pete's job if they aren't going to publicize this game? I mean besides all the stupid merchandising going on. I mean too me this is getting to KISS level of promotions.

Well, not publicizing the game is part of their extensive marketing. ^^
