Title says it all. Quick save, auto save and quick load do work within the same session but once I shut the game down and boot it up again I get what seems to be the very first quick save and auto save ever made on the game. It is a hassle that has caught me up several times. I've deleted all of the folders in the my games folder, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, restored back up save games, deleted the save games within the game all to no effect. Something should work

Try disabling cloud saving in Steam. You can do this by right clicking on the game in the steam library and going to properties or you can disable it across the board in the Steam properties.

As a backup I'd suggest making a normal save before closing that way if something happens to your autosave or quicksave you haven't lost any progress.
