Quest to turn into Vampire?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:07 pm

Hello Forum!

On my current main character in Skyrim, I'm a werewolf because I was originally a warrior, but now I'm more magic orientated with the 100% reduction to cost of restoration and destruction magic (kinda cheap, I know but meh, I hate the slow regeneration of Magicka) Anywho, currently i've done the Totems of Hircine, and with the news of Dawnguard I went to cure my Werewolf blood to become a vampire, but I don't have any witches heads, nor can I find any in the original cave. I also heard that once you've done the Totems of Hircine quests (I've got 2/3 totems), you can't cure Lycanthropy.

I really hope that they add a quest to give you the option to convert to a Vampire, or fix it so that you can cure lycanthropy no matter what. Is there any sort of news for that? Cause I'd hate to not be able to use that sweet new vampire form they showed =\ And I don't really want to start again / use my other character.

Where did you put the heads? They are still their whether you sold them or stored them.

That's the thing, I'm 100% sure I didn't put them anywhere, from memory you can't even remove them from your inventory because they are a quest item, or am I mistaken?

And are you sure they stay there if you sell them?

I couldn't remove them from my inventory because it said that it was a quest item. And your sure you didn't put them anywhere? Did you check your houses or containers you use regularly?

I sold them to a merchant in white run. I dont know if I "sold" them but I gave them to him. He always had them from then on. I just went back and bought them when I needed it.

I checked my house before, and I'm pretty sure I didn't see them =\ Maybe I skipped over it or something. I'll have to have another look through, or maybe I stored it in Delphine's place in Riverwood, cause I used her chest for a while before I had a house.

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like if I want to become a vampire I'll just have to take a really careful look in a couple of places.

Was there a large gap between when you "sold" them and got them back, vampire?

Yes lol. I always had the option to get rid of them too. It never said anything about a quest item. I always went to merchants to sell stuff and he always kept them. As far as I know and from my experience wherever you had them last is where they are now.

They are quest items until you finish the cure quest.

No reason a head should weigh that much if you ask me.
Yes, I am aware that that is the actual approximate weight of a real head assuming the person weighs between 100 and 200 pounds.
People have fat heads.
