I've always kept the bones and scales of slain dragons, but for no reason now that I think of it. My current character does not plan to branch into Smithing whatsoever, so I ask, is there anny reason to keep the dragon bones and scales as opposed to selling them since I'm not going to make Dragon Armor?

A physical memento of slain dragons?

As far as I know their only use is in the making of and improving Dragon Armor. In my 200+ hr game time that's all I've seen them used for. If you don't plan on using them just sell 'em.

Some suggestions:

1. Sell them off to vendors (recommended).
2. Stack them high in your house
3. Play dominos with Lydia
4. Throw one to a dog
5. Use them in place of rice when you get married


The possiblities are endless.

what are u doing with ore and ignots u dont use?... exactly so u can do the same thing with dragon bones/scales.

Ok thanks. I always made an annoying effort to go out of my way to head to my current main house and store the bones. Which really svcks when you're not using fast travel So now that I see they have no use for, I'll sell them. And to the guy who said keep them as mementos to dead dragons, I'll probably do that when I'm not hurting for cash. Since this guy is fairly new I'm still in need of money to buy and upgraded houses and to purchases horses and other useful stuff. Thanks guys.
