question about followers leveling

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 7:32 pm

Ok I got Lydia, say for example when I got to level 10, she adjusted to my level 10 also, correct? Now, say I have achieved level 20 and she is still at level 10. If I dismiss her and go hire Jenassa, then Jenassa starts her time with me matching my current level of 20, yes?

Now if I dismiss Jenassa when I get to level 30 say, and go back and tell Lydia to follow me, will Lydia still be level 10 or will she auto-adjust up to my level 30?

Or say I hire some other follower after Jenassa, this new follower would auto-adjust to my current level 30? Now if I dismiss this new one when I get to level 40 and hire Jenassa again will Jenassa adjust to match my level 40?
Long story short, If I have a small circle of followers and every few levels cycle through to the next one, will they keep adjusting to my current level?

Or does it work like this: When I dismiss a follower that follower stays at that level and won't ever match my level if I decide to hire them in the future?

Hope I'm explaining my question clearly.. LOL

(PS I've read somewhere that a few followers will level up with you, but I don't recall who they are at the moment.)

Interesting take on that question....

I did the wabbajack on Lydia. There's a thread on that... At level 40.... she is pretty good now. The recommendation is to dismiss her, but I wonder if that is really necessary. She losses a lot of carry capacity once dismissed and asked to follow again.....

Yirrk, you play on PC?

You don't need to have a "circle of followers"...if you like one in particular, you can make him/her leveled-up to your own level, using the console:

- dismiss the follower
- while he/she's still closeby in front of you, open console (~key), and click the follower
- type "disable" (without the ")
- type "enable"
- close console
- tell him/her to follow you again

Now your follower is on the same level as you are, with inventory still intact.
