Question about level cap

Post » Fri Jul 08, 2011 5:54 pm

OK simple question we know all the DLCs will raiser cap by 5 which means 50 will eventually be the max. but what about if you have cap mods installed. say you have no DLC installed but you have a mod that raised the cap to 50. If you install a DLC will that raise it to 55? or will it push it back to 30? basically i am asking how it is programmed? does the DLCs raise the cap 5 levels, like "currentcap+5" or or does installing 1 DLC set the level cap at 35? I know this sounds confusing the way I explained it but I'm sure you know what I mean, but if a PC player with modding experience can give me help/inform me I would appreciate it.

Generally speaking, a DLC that raises the Level Cap is problematic when using a mod that also raises the level cap.

Frankly, by the time you get HH, you don't need to mod your level cap, and with more DLCs, it is even more of a non issue.

I will move this to Mods so you can get input from those folks.

i really really really really wish they would stop adding to the level cap. im level 40 right now (cheat character, although now that the patch is out i can start a new game) and im in the 90s with my combat skilles except for unarmed and im in the 80s for science and lockpick cause you can use magz to get past the hard parts. everything else is also in the 80s except for barter which is 50. 5 more levels and if i include the skill books which i havent used on my current character and ill proably be able to max out everything to 100.
