Question about Malyn Varen!

This bugs me, how did he acquire Azura's star in the first place? Did it fade back into Oblivion a 100 years after the Hero of Kvatch got it, and then Malyn quested for Azura? :tongue:

And another question, do the Necromancers come after you when you chose to get the black star instead of the normal one?
