I was just wondering how you do it, i know you have to go into vats to activate it but i'm lost after that. Is there a different button you press instead of the trigger button. I tried to do "Fore" with the 9 iron but no luck.

Are there any on screen options of what to press to leave VATS, accept selection etc?
If so, the command for special attack (and appropriate button) should be displayed there. At least, that's how it is on PC anyway.

After you reach a skill level of 50, they are unlocked. Y usually activates them, and in some cases at even higher levels you get more options, which of course require you to rpess a different button.

Interesting, i just started my first melee/unarmed character, so i didnt know what i needed to do.
