Question about Ohgma Infinum Glitch : V

Happy Holidays

I was attempting the glitch as follows
1.activate book case
2. Read book in inventory
3. place book on shelf
4. exit
5.but when i go to read the ook again there is no level up sequence
am i doing it wrong?

If you're patched current (1.3 I believe) then the glitch is no longer working AFAIK.

Are you describing your actions exactly? You open the bookshelf, read the book from your inventory, put the book in the bookshelf without leaving the screen and then close the menu. Once the book pops up on the bookshelf, click on the book - don't open the bookshelf - and make sure not to select a path once it pops up, taking the book off of the shelf. Then repeat.

People need to stop thinking the glitch is patched until it is. It works fine in 1.3. Furthermore its not even worth patching. The PS3 has much higher priority to be fixed than a level up glitch in a single player game.

And here are instructions on how to do it.

1. Get the Oghma Infinium book by completing the Hermaeus Mora daedric quest.
2. Go to your bookshelf, and with the book in your possession, activate the shelf.
3. Instead of storing the book, press the triggers to read it from your menu screen. Choose any of the three paths.
4. Back out one screen (to your book inventory), then store the book on the shelf.
5. Back out of the menu completely, and target the book on the shelf. Confirm the "Read Oghma Infinium" option.
6. Don't actually read it here! when it brings up the paths again, just choose "do not read." Then, just take the book off the shelf.
7. Go back to step 2 and repeat as often as desired.

You can also use the Cupboard in your breezehome.
1.Simply open the Cupboard, access your scrolls/books
2.open the Ohgma Infinum, choose your desired stats to level up.
3. Place Ohgma Infinum into the Cupboard, then
4. leave your inventory and access the Cupboard inventory, and pull it back out into your inventory.
5. Repeat 2-4 as desired.

I found this faster then using the bookshelf, personally.

Just completed doing this till I maxed my second toon to 81 from level 39. Can Vouch for it's use on the ps3 at least on patch 1.3

Thanks for the help !!! Yeah i was messing up the cycles. I was taking the book off the bookcase through the bookcase not by looking at the book itself.

I just used the dudes ashes as my container to abuse it on my one playthrough.

Just about any container can be used, or body, for that matter.
