Question about placing monsters in a custom duengon

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:39 am

Hello, when ever I try to place a monster I have created in the dungeon I have made, the green M shows up like normal, but, when I load up the plugin and test, there are no monsters anywhere. Any ideas?

Presume placing a new LVLN for the actor ... have had similar issues with same and asked the same question a week or so agao, never got an answer. For now I am adding to existing LVLN (a bad option) or just placing the ENC for the actor. Sorry can't answer .. I am sure it is something simple (i hope). If find it don't ferget to post.

Does it do it for every actor you created or just the one actor that you are placing multiple times? If it does it for a single actor you created, try creating a new one following the steps in the tutorial again (I do this sometimes just to be safe).

Make sure the "initially disabled" box is not checked when you bring up the edit menu for the actor. (just checking)

Did you try closing the CK and reloading then saving the module and play testing again?

Last but not least, while checking the tutorial, you can go step by step with your current problematic actor to see if you may have missed anything.

Sorry if any of this technically doesn't help, but I have found that double/triple checking your work often locates the issue.

Hmm never did make another LVLN .. but did place about 50+ new 'M' markers and waited the required days (did not try cell reset though) and they never kick off anything .. still fooling around with it. Only difference for my test was placed the actor in the outside world not in an interior cell. Got a gut feeling has to do with the respawn thingee in the game .. even though reset mine to 7 days no idea if have to really wait the 30 days. Next test will be to restart the game and see if they kick off then .. ah so much fun fortunately I don't take much of this seriously cause it is so much fun just building the things .....

Does your custom dungeon have a working navmesh? If it doesn't, they might not show up at all..

Are you sure that the savegame you are using to test doesn't have any of the dungeon loaded? I use a quiksave from the exterior of the dungeon. I found that loading a save from inside the dungeon gave less than desireable results.
