Question about textures and models in the CK

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:34 am

I've discovered that I can retexture a model inside the CK by simply editing the object. My question is, where does the CK find the textures available to place on the models? I'd like to expand that list.

Also, if I download textures for use, is there a specific format and size that they have to be in order to use them?

I'm mostly interested in changing building peices.

Thanks.

(Just to be absolutely clear, what I'm talking about is copying a model (like the nord small room set), renaming it, editing it, and giving the model a next texture in the edit window)

I used the tools included with FOMM to view all the textures in the .bsa. Most of those textures don't appear in the Model Edit page. Is there way to include new textures for the CK to apply in the model edit page, or are you forced to use Nifskope?

http://www.creationkit.com/Model_Data is the page I am talking about.
