Question about the milkdrinker (insert race here) NPC's!

Hi, i'm curious of one thing, has anyone ever managed to successfully intimidate one of these? If so, what's their response? And do they also consist of Argonians and Khajiits aswell?

That's all.

No, so far when I tell them not to talk to me like that, they always go hostile. I think if they were bold enough to insult me despite the high level armor and BF weapons I'm carrying, and the fact that I often have an extremely large, well-armed bodyguard standing three feet away, not to mention all the blood and gore we're wearing as a souvenir of the last ne'er-do-well who gave us any trouble... then probably just telling them to be more polite to strangers is not gonna scare them off.

I had a Nord call me milkdrinker at Frostfruit Inn the other day. I'd just killed a dragon right outside, so I was like "haven't payed much attention to what's going on outside, have we? Maybe you should go say that someone who isn't a dragonslayer instead". Then she came at me with a sword, so I beheaded her. I must say, the people at the inn were very cool about it. :P

I wonder if they're on skooma or something.

You probably harshed their mellow a bit, but they were still too mellow to complain about it.

Edit: you probably meant the "milk drinker" lot are on Skooma, I thought you meant the witnesses in the inn. :P

I believe I have intimidated one of them. I assume you're talking about the random encounters on the road. I've certainly intimidated NPCs in towns who tried to start $***. IIRC the NPCs in town respond with a kind of "OK, OK, no need to get hostile. The answer is..." whereas the ones on the road say something like, "Fine. You're not worth the trouble." or something else trying to sound tough. It's possible a town NPC gave me the tough-guy answer and I've never intimidated one on the road, but I'm pretty sure I've gotten the "...not worth the trouble." kinda' response before. I could be mixing games up though. :P

I had an interesting thing the other night, not with the random NPCs on the roads who call you a milkdrinker, but with the random NPCs who tell you that you look tired and they've got just what you need, or however it goes... you know, the roaming Skooma and Tree Sap dealers.

So far had encountered 2-3 of them, just for fun I've been taking the "that sounds illegal" option which always makes them go hostile and end up dead. Now the last one I came across didn't wait to talk at me at all, he just came running at me with his fists up already prepared to fight. Killed him as well, because... fists? Really? I have a SWORD, you moron.

Anyhoo I'm wondering if these guys are a faction of their own and killing enough of them somehow gets around and then they all just "know" to try and take you out on sight.

Hah, that reminds me of my first encounter with one of those NPC's. I was just hanging around the Inn in Falkreath and talked to this NPC named 'Redguard'. Next thing I know he was attacking me with a sword! I had to force him into a bedroom and down a potion or two before I could kill him! I was only level 2, so it wasn't exactly easy.

I was a little nervous reading further with that lead-in.

Sounds like what Haelga would probably refer to as "just another Tirdas evening." :P
