Im on the hunt for all the dragon priest masks, and have 2 left...

One is the dreaded epic battle through the tomb of Forelhost for Rahgot. Yeah, i've already died here many times, and have decided to leave this for last.

Question:
But i also need morokei, and have NOT done the college of winterhold quest. Is it possible to get to Morokei without doing the college quest?

I've obviously been to Labyrinthian...but can't seem to get to Morokei.

Help?!?

No, you need to do the college

I did the same thing not too long ago, the College is a pain in backend but it is required for that mask

Okay. well, i was up to 4am (probably closer to 5AM) playing on saturday night...and wanted to update this and say it worked flawlessly. I acutally had trouble making the jump onto the ledge, but once i made it to the mountainside, it was pretty straightforward.

Funny...without knowing exactly where the trapdoor was, i had no clue...i was up and down the mountainside looking for this level ledge. FInally found it as a little speck way below me when i was like 100 feet up in the air on the mountain! Imagine my surprise when i come to find out that it was only like 10 feet, if that, above where i started. Needless to say, i was a chuckling fool in the wee hours of the morining. haha.

Thanks again for this awesome find...thourghly enjoyed putting the back door little joe on Morokei.
