Question for all Modders...

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering how to import a "home made sword" (made on blender) into skyrim, and how to set its stats and everything.

Thanks :)

Easiest answer is to wait for the CK.

thanks, but i have no idea when thats coming out... I had thought Beth originally said "with" 1.4, but now they're saying "soon after" 1.4..... This could mean anything.

It should be out within the next couple of weeks. Hopefully early next week as it would be a treat to get my SSD drive on Monday (I ordered one on Amazon) and have the Creation Kit release there in as well. I'd be a happy camper. :]

The CK won't export the mesh for you though.

For the exporting, Tessnip or it's Skyrim version, Tes5Snip. I didn't know the exat process though. The stats editing, can be done by the same program or by Skyedit.

No. Exporting = game ready.

@OP, you need Nifscope and a tutorial telling you how to import your shape into a vanilla mesh. It will then be game ready and then TESVSnip or SkyEdit can get it in game.

Read this thread, all of it. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1338001-someone-please-help-me-convert-objs-to-nifs-nothing-works-over-here/

True. A little oversight.
