question for pickpocketers or other experts

So I had an idea to let the city guards, let say whiterun, carry full dwarven armor.
is this possible? How do I do it? and what is required to do it?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think it's possible without using console commands.

It may not be possible as the guards may not be saved in the game memory when you are outside the city for a longer time (only their x,y,z coordinates), and be regenerated every time you enter.

Darn, I always wanted to try this... but I guess it's pointless.

It's a shame because I think it's an awesome idea, I never give up hope though, maybe somebody has a workaround.

You can give the armor to the guards in Dragonsreach, and it'll keep. I don't know about any other guards, though. I doubt they'll wear it, though.

I know it keeps because I've given all 4 (two in the morning shift, and two in the evening shift) daedric arrows and ebony bows and they're still there after 13 levels.

Without their archery practice, I wouldn't have 300+ daedric arrows, that's for sure.

Edit for censored typo :embarrassed:
