Hello I am playing my second character it is a pure mage user on master. I am level 12 and I just recently did the Labyrynthian quest. The one problem I had was when I fought trolls in the dungeon I had to reduce the difficulty to expert to kill them.

The reason why is because I could not damage them faster then they were healing. I was using firebolt and flame atronach and still no luck. Would've been there for hours and I'm not sure if I would've killed it. Is there any way to stop a troll's regeneration? Thank you.

Fire is *supposed* to stop or at least delay their regeneration. Were you dual-casting it with the Impact perk? If not, that helps a lot.

Also make sure to be prepared with plenty of magicka potions. Especially at that level I was chugging magicka potions like crazy. With dual-casting and the Impact perk, for me magicka was the only remaining hurtle.

Also investing in a staff of firebolts/flames/flame atronach wouldn't hurt either. Basically have a source of free spells for when your magicka runs dry...

Ya I was one level from stagger but I wasn't dual casting either. I was trying to kill it without magic potions but I guess it's inevitable. Thanks for the tip!
