So I'm playing as a Nord who is neutral-good. He joined the Stormcloaks, but isn't completely racist. He doesn't murder without reason, and he only steals when there's enough cash to make it worthwhile. But, I have the dilemma of not knowing whether to kill Paat for the blades or not. Purely from a role playing perspective, I'm kind of stumped. What should I do?

Well, Paarthurnax did do some bad things a few thousand years ago. But, he's been fighting his urge to destroy since then and actually helps you defeat Alduin.

Character wise he is this (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheAtoner) You get the choice to have a say if redemption equals death or life.

Arngeir warns you in game that using the Dragonrend shout makes all the hatred and anger used in it's creation transfer to you, now while this dosen't actually happen in a visable way, you could use it as an RP excuse to kill Paarthurnax and also participate in pretty much any other evil deed in the game... atleast, that's what I use as my exucuse .

I think the main thing stopping me is their tie to the empire :/ This Nord is a son of Skyrim.

You don't have to do this, but the blades won't talk to you if you don't.

Huh. Didn't notice since I didn't hang around the blades. Neat to know though.

i, guessign form a RP standpoint....sigh the Blades to me were doen very terribly. 1 moment they are saying how awesome i am and how they'll always back me up.........AFTER i go kill a dragon, and to be damned with theres no needs to, u dont do that we are thru i take back every good word i said to you, never mind everythign u have done and that as a blade im sworn to follow aND PROTECT U..u just have to kill 1 more dragon....
