I've been playing Skyrim on a small 20 inch sdtv with no problems except font definition. Someone gave me a 32 inch Sony sdtv for free coz they're getting a flat screen. I now play on our other sdtv a 27 inch (feels like IMAX) but the Sony I got doesn't have a remote, and the only remote I can set up right now is a basic kinda jobby that came with a digital adapter from the cable company. The problem is this mini black screen that I think shows another channel when watching a main channel. I have a PS2 used mainly for DVD's on that tv and it shows the same image in mini form either a movie or PS2 game. So, should I get a universal remote and this will have the option to get rid of that second mini channel which shows as a black rectangle ?
