Questions about children

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 8:22 am

I have questions about children

One: Why are all the children the same age and height? there are no infants or teenagers in the game, i know teenagers would be difficult to make but could we at least have a little variety in there age and height?

Two: There are no non-human children i know this is the Nord province and they supress the non-human population but you'd think there would be one or two in the gray quarter at least.

Simpler question. Why do they all look exactly alike? Is there a reason they couldn't even give them different hair styles/color?

The advlts are pretty divese looking in this game, too bad the children didn't get the same treatment.

They seriously look like the everyone-looks-the-same Oblivion characters.. You can barely tell male from female without looking at their hair/dress.

Children really look like they got added in the last minute. they all have the same voices and same appearance in Skyrim.

Children have never been in a TES game before (except a random Skeleton of one) So these are more of a atmosphere enhancement rater than well fleshed out characters.

No problem with them just running and playing around in the background as they were ment to be, I have even played tag with a couple lol

So basicly it seems like TES made two VERY generic children and nothing else

All was forgiven when one of the Solitude kids said she wished my character was her mum.

That's so sweet! Well, the girl's mum probably doesn't feel this way, but...

Lars Battleborn once asked me to make him invisible. He was so excited, it was adorable. And the kids in Riften orphanage absolutely rock.

Maybe it's just me, but despite all of them looking the same, I'm actually more attached to some of the children than to advlt NPCs. I mean, who cares about the guy who works for Belethor, in the General Goods store? Or some lady at the stalls whose name I don't even remember? But a child bullying another to cover up for the fact that she has a secret crush on him? So cute. And realistic, too.

maybe because they thought that if you cared that much about children, you would be arrested soon....

but all jokes aside, i have no idea. But it's fun playing Hide and Seek with them :P

There are actually redguard children in the game, only seen 3 so far though. Wish there were beast race children though, I knew before Skyrim was released that there wouldn't be any elven children or beast race children, hope to see a mod improve on this one day.

I was somewhat shocked when Svari said that to me. The quest I had to do for her was about getting her mom out of a depressed rut. You'd think she would be more keen on spending time with her mom after that. Sadly, I can't finish the quest for her because it broke.

I have bad memories of Little Lamplight and trying to speak to a specific character...I wouldn't want to repeat that experience.

Little Lamplight rsounds familiar ? was that some cave in Fallout 3 where kids were at war with other kids ? i think thats what it was.

We know they lead short, harsh lives, and that's why they treat marriage as a convenience, more business than romance. Maybe they view parenthood the same way, 'my mum's depressed, I need a new one that works right'. Assuming of course they haven't been to Riften, that is.

They were not at war, but it was a Lord of the Flies kind of Society rolled into a Logan's Run kind of World.
