French gamer here, so ‘scuse me for my english, not as good as I wish.
So I have few questions about the companions. Maybe I will spoil a little in this thread so if you do not have ED-E and the Punching Girl from the Bortherhood of Steel as companions, do not read this. Or read it... as you wish!

1) I did the quest to repair ED-E at the begning of the game. As I am a full charism character, he helped me a lot with his laser rifle. I say helped me and not help me anymore cause I made the quest with the brotherhood guy to enable the memory of the robot. He took me ED-E few days and sent him back to me but... this crazy piece of steel do not fire at enemies anymore. No way to make him defend me , not even himself when we are attacked. At this point I am wondering myself if it is a bug or if the guy of the brotherhood did not break my little buddy. I tryied to reconfigure him with the tactic menu but... nothing works.

2) My second companion is the girl from the brotherhood of steel. I am at a point of the adventure where a guy in the laser gun shop of freeside ask me to bring him back a girl in the RNC outpost of the south west of the map. And the only way to for me to bring the girl is to take her as a companion. No problem. I ask the girl from the brotherhood to wait for me at the lucky38, take the new girl as a companion, go to freeside, and make my quest. After that I go back to the lucly38 to take back the girl from the brotherhood as my favorite ans sixiest companion but... oh my gad what the ?!? … She is not at the lucky38. She is not where I met her the first time. She is not at the brotherhood headquarter. Why?! WHY MY LORD?! …
So from now I am alone... my sixy punching girl is lost... and my robot is bugged. This world is so hard.

i dont know about ed-e

but for veronica try find her at the trade post 188 where you picked her up because you can only have 1 human follower the other will return to the place where you first spotted her/him

Companions return to their original locations somewhere between 7 and 30 days after telling them to wait somewhere. However, the Lucky 38 is completely FUBAR so it's never a good idea to send a companion there. Just for future reference.

There are some console commands you can use to get the companion back. There's one that will move you to the NPC, and one that will move the NPC to you. I never seem to be able to get the latter one to work, so maybe I'm just typing it wrong, but if you want to move yourself to the NPC, the command is:

player.moveto

Veronica's ref ID is 000e32a9, and you can find the ID of any other NPC in the wiki.

Ah crap. Ok so I will reload the last save, do the quest again and tell her not to go to the lucky38 but her original location?
I don't remember you can tell her "GO to your original location NOW FEMALE!"... but i'll look.
Between 7 and 30 days? What?! Ok so i'll find a very confortable bed because I need my veronica to go forward in the story...

(I found the console command to debug ED-E.)
